You can use Text Speaker. Both the AT&T and Ivona voices should provide clear proofreading of most medical terminology. For words that do not get pronounced correctly, you can assign the correct pronunciation by using the Pronunciation Editor. You can enter the medical terms you need and use it for proof-reading. Click Tools > Pronunciation to get to the editor. Here is a illustration:
